According to Japanese Finance Minister Katayama Sakuji on Monday, the government will consider bond market factors when deciding how to increase spending to address economic fallout from Middle East tensions. “Given the Middle East situation, we must be fully prepared from the perspective of minimizing risks,” Katayama said after the Group of Seven finance ministers meeting in Paris. “Minimizing risks also involves the market. The financial market itself is one of the risks.”
