Japan's PM Pledges 10 Trillion Yen to India on July 7, Unveiling Rare-Earth Supply Chain Strategy Against China

According to Newtalk, on July 7, Japan's Prime Minister Takamichi Sanae met with Indian PM Narendra Modi and announced an "Economic Security Cooperation Joint Declaration," committing to 10 trillion yen in investments over the next decade. The pact signals a strategic alliance aimed at countering China's rare-earth monopoly.

According to national security expert Chen Wen-jia, Japan is systematically dismantling China's rare-earth weaponization strategy and is likely to become the first model for global supply-chain de-sinicization. The collaboration focuses on bypassing Beijing's dominance in rare-earth materials, with both nations seeking to strengthen economic security through joint resource development.
