June U.S. CPI Shows Broad Moderation; Core Goods Down 0.09%, Housing Up 0.12%

According to Nick Timiraos, a Federal Reserve spokesman, June CPI data showed broad moderation across multiple categories. Core goods prices declined 0.09% for a second consecutive month, while housing prices rose just 0.12%. Core services prices excluding housing fell 0.2%, marking the lowest level since the pandemic.
