Kazakhstan President Tokayev Signs Decree Allowing Stablecoins for Cross-Border Payments

According to Bits.media, Kazakhstan President Tokayev signed a presidential decree on July 9 to enable enterprises and government institutions to use stablecoins for cross-border payments. The decree aims to open additional import-export channels and includes tax exemptions for individuals trading digital assets through state-regulated domestic platforms. The measure also restricts the use of associated natural gas for cryptocurrency mining, allowing such resources only when not required to meet national needs.
