Korea Exchange Appoints Professor Kim Woo-chan as Kosdaq Market Committee Chairman on July 6

According to the Korea Exchange announcement, Kim Woo-chan, a professor at Korea University's Business School, was appointed chairman of the Kosdaq Market Committee on July 6, 2026. His two-year term will run through July 6, 2028. Kim holds a bachelor's degree in international economics from Seoul National University and master's and doctoral degrees in public policy from Harvard University. He currently serves as an advisory committee member for the Presidential Council on Economic Affairs and holds positions including chief financial supervisor adviser and outside director at Korea Development Bank. The Exchange noted Kim's expertise in finance and corporate governance as key qualifications for the role.
