According to ChainCatcher, citing Gate market data, South Korea's KOSPI index rose 0.97% on Monday, July 27, closing at 6,755.74 points. Japan's Nikkei 225 index gained 0.5% the same day, closing at 64,931.19 points.

SK Hynix climbed 3.5%, while Samsung Electronics gained 2% as major constituents of the KOSPI index.
