GateNews
According to Lebanon's National News Agency, Prime Minister Najib Mikati issued a televised address on May 30 accusing Israel of escalating military operations in southern Lebanon beyond specific targets. Mikati stated that Israeli forces are completely destroying towns, villages, and civilian infrastructure, displacing large numbers of civilians—actions he characterized as 'collective punishment' of innocent people and a 'scorched-earth policy.' The Lebanese leader added that the operations do not provide Israel with security.
