According to official filings, Lightspeed Venture Partners led Anthropic's $3.5 billion Series E round in March 2025, valuing the AI company at $61.5 billion. The same investor holds equity shares and convertible debentures in Sarvam AI, India's prominent AI startup, which raised $234 million in June 2026 at a $1.5 billion valuation.
General Catalyst and Khosla Ventures similarly back both companies. General Catalyst invests in Anthropic and Mistral AI, while also linking to Sarvam through Venture Highway Fund III. Khosla Ventures holds stakes in both Sarvam and was OpenAI's first venture capital investor. The concentrated investor overlap across leading AI labs reflects how a small number of global firms increasingly decide which companies scale.
