According to Liuzhou police, authorities have processed 30 cases of earthquake-related rumors and misinformation since a series of earthquakes struck Guangxi's Liuzhou from May 17 onwards. Police have detained WeChat user "Liu" for originating false information. According to his account, Liu queried an AI software about earthquake-related topics after seeing group members discussing the tremors, then forwarded the AI-generated text to the group, leading to widespread dissemination of inaccurate information.
