Maersk Adjusts Seasonal Surcharges on Far East-Europe Routes to $250-500 per Container, Effective August 3

According to Maersk's official statement, the company adjusts seasonal surcharges (PSS) on routes from the Far East to Northern Europe and the Mediterranean, effective August 3, 2026 (August 10 for shipments from South Korea).

For Northern Europe and Mediterranean destinations, the new rates are $250 per 20-foot container and $500 per 40- and 45-foot container. For Syria routes, rates are €220 per 20-foot and €440 per 40- and 45-foot container. The surcharges apply to all container types except spot bookings.
