Major South Korean Banks Restructure FX Dealing Rooms on July 27 as Dollar-Won Market Shifts to 24-Hour Trading

According to Yonhapinfomax, on July 27, major South Korean banks completed mid-year personnel restructuring of their foreign exchange dealing rooms. The reorganization follows the shift of the dollar-won spot market to five-day, 24-hour trading starting July 6. Banks including IBK Corporate Bank, Shinhan Bank, KB Kookmin Bank, and Woori Bank reassigned key traders and spot dealers to their London and Hong Kong desks to ensure continuous market coverage. The moves strengthen domestic banks' capacity to handle round-the-clock FX operations.
