Meta CEO Zuckerberg Explains Employee Monitoring Program: Staff More Intelligent Than Outsourced Workers

According to More Perfect Union, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg acknowledged on April 30 an internal employee monitoring program called the Model Capability Initiative (MCI) that tracks mouse movements, keystrokes, and takes screenshots on employee computers. Zuckerberg justified the measure by arguing that Meta employees have significantly higher average intelligence than typical outsourced workers, making their behavioral data valuable for training the company's AI models on coding tasks and general computer usage patterns. He stated that no human would review the recordings and that sensitive content would be removed before data use.
