Meta Rolls Out Muse Image AI Model on July 7, Expands to Instagram and WhatsApp

According to Meta, Muse Image AI text-to-image model rolled out on July 7 in Meta AI chatbot, with plans to expand to Instagram and WhatsApp over time. Users can create and edit images via text prompts, while advertisers will gain access later for marketing materials. The model can generate images featuring friends or creators based on public Instagram posts; Instagram users can opt out in settings.

Muse Image outputs carry invisible watermarks and safeguards to prevent violations including child sexual abuse material. Meta said the feature aims to expand its AI and advertising tools.
