MiniMax Code 2.0 Overhauls Architecture to Fix Long-Task Freezes

According to OneMillion_AI monitoring, MiniMax updated its Code 2.0 desktop version with a redesigned architecture based on the open-source Pi Agent framework. The update addresses freezes, timeouts, and context interruptions in long-running tasks, with faster startup and improved stability during extended file access, tool calls, and modifications.

The new version also optimizes chart and file previews, allowing users to view, zoom, and download charts in fullscreen and edit files directly in preview mode. MiniMax plans to add remote control, browser automation, objective mode, and planning mode this month. The company temporarily disabled the existing Computer Use feature due to compatibility and experience issues, with a relaunch planned for later.
