According to ChainCatcher, on July 15, Randy Xia, a team member at Moonshot AI (Kimi), responded to allegations from U.S. White House Technology Policy Director Michael Kratsios regarding the K3 model. Xia noted that Anthropic's Fable was released on July 1 and K3 went online on July 15, meaning the entire model research, distillation, training, and deployment occurred within 15 days. Xia joked: "We trained a cutting-edge model in just 15 days—this must be a Guinness World Record."
