NAND Flash Supply Shortage to Ease in H2 2027, TrendForce Forecasts

According to TrendForce, NAND flash supply shortage is expected to ease starting in the second half of 2027. The analyst projects the supply-demand gap will remain in the negative 4% to 5% range through 2026, indicating continued shortages; however, this gap is forecast to turn positive in H2 2027, alleviating supply pressure. The shortage is driven by servers, which account for over 40% of total NAND flash demand, while smartphones and laptops combined represent nearly 40%.
