NEAR Protocol Activates Quantum-Safe Signatures and Dynamic Resharding on Mainnet

According to NEAR Protocol's official announcement on July 20, the network's mainnet upgrade has activated quantum-safe signing with NIST-approved post-quantum digital signature schemes, making NEAR one of the first blockchains to deploy quantum-resistant cryptography in production. The upgrade simultaneously introduces dynamic resharding, enabling the protocol to automatically adjust network capacity and create or merge shards based on transaction demand, improving scalability without requiring manual infrastructure changes.
