New Recruitment Scam Targeting Web3 Workers Uses Malware Disguised as AI Interview Tool

According to SlowMist, a new recruitment scam targeting Web3 professionals has recently emerged. Attackers impersonate recruiters and trick victims into installing malware disguised as an AI conferencing tool called "Relay." The malicious software targets both macOS and Windows users and can steal browser credentials, cryptocurrency wallet data, Keychain data, and Telegram sessions.

SlowMist has completed sample analysis and disclosed the attack chain. The firm recommends Web3 workers exercise caution when installing unfamiliar software during online interviews and avoid running unverified applications.
