North Korea Conducts Tactical Ballistic Missile Test Under Kim Jong Un's Observation

Gate News message, April 19 — North Korea's missile authority test-fired an improved version of the Hwasong-11 Type 4 tactical ballistic missile on April 19, with Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party and Chairman of State Affairs Commission, observing the test, according to KCNA.

The test aimed to evaluate the missile warhead's characteristics and destructive power. Five tactical ballistic missiles were launched at a target island 136 kilometers away, achieving dense strikes on a target area spanning 12.5 to 13 hectares. Kim Jong Un expressed satisfaction with the test results, noting that the development and application of warheads with different deployment capabilities would fully and effectively meet the operational requirements of the Korean military.
