NTT Data Acquires Microsoft Partner WinWire for $1B+ to Add 1,000+ Azure AI Engineers

According to NTT Data, on May 18, the company signed a definitive agreement to acquire WinWire, a Santa Clara-based Microsoft partner specializing in Azure AI, data engineering, and cloud-native development. The deal will add more than 1,000 Azure engineers and AI specialists to NTT Data’s Microsoft unit, bolstering its enterprise AI services capabilities including agentic AI, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure AI Foundry. WinWire operates delivery centers in India. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
