Nvidia Approves 10 Chinese Companies to Buy H200 Chips, Up to 75,000 Units Each

According to Reuters' exclusive report today, approximately 10 Chinese companies including Alibaba, Tencent, ByteDance, and JD.com have been approved to purchase Nvidia's H200 chips, with each customer limited to 75,000 units. Lenovo and Foxconn were approved as distributors.

However, no chips have shipped so far. China has rejected the U.S. requirement that chips transit through America for a 25% fee, citing security concerns over hardware tampering. To resolve the impasse, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang joined the White House delegation for high-level talks this week at China's invitation.
