According to Bloomberg, on Tuesday, Nvidia detailed specifications for its data center CPU called Vera, designed to compete with processors from AMD and Intel in AI server markets. The company said Vera chips were delivered to OpenAI, Anthropic, and SpaceX in June. Nvidia stated the CPU delivers 50% better performance for AI agents compared to x86 chips from competitors, with single-core speed prioritized over core count. The chip consumes 250 to 450 watts of power and supports up to 1.5 terabytes of memory per unit. According to Wolfe Research, the average selling price is expected to be about $5,000 per chip, with forecasts of approximately 1.3 million units shipped this year.
