NVIDIA Raises GPU Memory Prices Across RTX Lineup; RTX 5070 Ti Jumps 15% in One Day

According to BenchLife, NVIDIA issued a price increase notice to downstream GPU manufacturers this week for its GPU package bundles, affecting both GDDR7 and GDDR6 memory chips across multiple RTX generations. The increases are driven by rising memory chip costs.

Retail prices reflect the impact: a 16GB GDDR7 RTX 5070 Ti reached 10,745 yuan Friday afternoon from 9,299 yuan Thursday, marking a roughly 15% jump within 24 hours. An 8GB RTX 5050 surged over 40% in a single week, climbing from around 2,100 yuan to 3,083 yuan. The price spike extends to legacy models, with RTX 3060 12GB cards returning to market. Industry sources indicate that a 3GB GDDR7 chip now costs 60–70 dollars, roughly triple the 20-dollar price of standard 2GB GDDR7 chips, delaying new product launches including RTX 50 SUPER models.
