Nvidia's Kyber Rack Delayed by One Year to 2028, NVL72x2 Canceled

According to SemiAnalysis in an X thread on Sunday, Nvidia's Kyber NVL144 rack architecture, designed to house the company's 2027 Rubin Ultra chips, has been delayed to 2028. The server cabinet, which packs 144 of Nvidia's most powerful chips into a single unit, faces manufacturing challenges with its PCB midplane component. Nvidia's alternative NVL72x2 back-to-back rack architecture was also canceled, limiting scalability options for Rubin Ultra. Nvidia's current-generation Rubin chip systems remain in full production and will begin shipping this fall to early customers including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.

On Stocktwits, NVDA retail sentiment remains bearish, unchanged over the past week, with message volume up 9%. Traders express frustration over the stock's weak performance, with NVDA up only 4.6% year to date.
