Oklo and X-Energy Stocks Jump 10-12% After-Hours as Trump Administration Announces $200M Nuclear Initiative for AI Data Centers

According to Bloomberg, Oklo Inc. (OKLO) and X-Energy Inc. (XE) shares surged in extended trading yesterday after the Trump administration announced a $200 million federal initiative to accelerate nuclear reactor development for AI data centers. X-Energy gained as much as 12% and Oklo rose 9.9%, as the two advanced nuclear developers joined tech giants Microsoft and Nvidia in the Department of Energy program.

The $200 million effort will allocate $60 million over three years to DOE national laboratories and academic institutions, including the University of Texas at Austin, according to the internal Department of Energy document.
