Gate News message, April 22 — OP Labs announced the launch of Privacy Boost, a privacy product first deployed on OP Mainnet (formerly Optimism), designed to attract more enterprises into the Ethereum ecosystem. The product, offered as a software development kit and API interface, enables private transactions and discreet interactions with DeFi applications while meeting regulatory requirements.
Privacy Boost leverages zero-knowledge proofs to support self-custody and uses trusted execution environments to enable fast private transactions. The tool can be customized according to enterprise KYC rules and audit requirements. OP Labs co-founder stated that compliance issues have long hindered traditional financial institutions from migrating on-chain, emphasizing that privacy is not an optional feature but a prerequisite for mainstream adoption.
The product is expected to expand to additional blockchains in the coming weeks.
