According to Bloomberg, Parle Industries Ltd stock surged 5% on Wednesday (May 21), marking its largest gain in two months, after investors mistakenly identified the small software company as Parle Products Pvt, the manufacturer of Melody candies and the popular Parle-G biscuits. The confusion stemmed from a video released by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni showing Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi gifting her a package of Melody candies.
