Qatar PM Discusses Regional Peace and Hormuz Strait Issues with Iran FM on May 23

According to CCTV News, Qatar Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed held a call with Iran's Foreign Minister Araghchi on May 23 to discuss regional peace efforts. Mohammed reiterated full support for efforts aimed at reaching an agreement and emphasized that all parties must respond positively to achieve sustainable peace in the region.

Mohammed stressed that freedom of navigation is a non-negotiable principle, and that blocking or weaponizing the Strait of Hormuz would only deepen the crisis.
