Reflection AI Signs $1 Billion Compute Deal with Nebius on July 14

According to TechCrunch, Reflection AI, a U.S. startup founded in 2024 by former Google DeepMind researchers, signed a $1 billion compute deal with Nebius on July 14 to access Nvidia's latest chips for training and deploying its models. Reflection plans to release open-weight models and open-source its software and reinforcement-learning tools. The startup, valued at $8 billion, has raised approximately $2.6 billion from backers including Nvidia, Sequoia Capital, and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
