Ripple Stablecoin Business to Receive OCC Charter License Soon, SVP Says at Consensus 2026

According to Foresight News, Ripple's stablecoin business will soon receive an OCC charter license, Ripple SVP Jack McDonald said at Consensus 2026 in Miami. The business currently holds a New York state regulatory license and has obtained licenses in multiple other jurisdictions globally. McDonald noted that institutional clients require the highest level of regulatory credentials to confidently move real funds and transaction volume on-chain, supported by BNY Mellon as custodian and partnerships with firms including Deloitte.
