According to NATO, a Russian drone struck an apartment building in Galați, a city on the Romania-Ukraine border, on Friday morning. Romanian President Nicușor Dan said the incident requires a coordinated response at national, alliance, and international levels. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and the U.S. Ambassador to NATO stated that member states will defend every inch of NATO territory, as the strike occurred during Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure near the border.
