Sakura Internet Plans to Increase FY2026 Capital Expenditure 7-Fold to ¥20-30B for GPU Procurement

According to Jin10, on May 26, Sakura Internet's CEO stated the company plans to increase capital expenditure in fiscal year 2026 (April 2026–March 2027) to ¥20-30 billion (approximately $0.85–1.28 billion), up to 7 times the initially planned ¥4.4 billion. The increased investment will be directed toward GPU procurement to meet growing AI demand in Japan. The company had announced the original ¥4.4 billion capex forecast on April 27.
