GateNews

According to Bloomberg, Samsung Electronics reached a tentative labor deal to distribute approximately 40 trillion won, or $26.6 billion, in bonuses to 78,000 chip workers this year, avoiding a strike. The agreement, pending union approval, provides average payouts of about $339,000 per worker.

Bonuses will be structured as 10.5% of profits in stock and 1.5% in cash, with payments scheduled for early 2027. The program would run for 10 years if profit targets are met.
