Samsung Electronics Announces 2nm Process and AI Semiconductor Partnerships at SAFE Forum 2026

According to Odaily, Samsung Electronics announced its next-generation 2nm process technology, DTCO (Design-Technology Co-Optimization), and advanced SRAM roadmap at SAFE Forum 2026 in Seoul. The company outlined its strategy to strengthen its platform role in South Korea's semiconductor ecosystem beyond foundry services. Korean AI fabless company Rebellions revealed it has developed the REBEL100 NPU based on Samsung's 4nm process and advanced packaging, with plans for continued collaboration in AI semiconductors. Samsung also joined South Korea's M.AX alliance to develop low-power, high-performance edge AI chips for automotive, consumer electronics, robotics, and defense applications.
