Samsung SDS Launches NPUaaS Based on FuriosaAI Renegade on July 20

According to Odaily, Samsung SDS launched a Neural Processing Unit-as-a-Service (NPUaaS) on its Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP) on July 20, based on FuriosaAI's second-generation Renegade (RGND) processor. Renegade is designed for AI inference tasks including response generation, document analysis, and image recognition. Customers can subscribe to NPU resources without purchasing dedicated servers, configuring 1, 2, 4, or 8 NPUs as needed and integrating with SCP's storage, compute, and network services. The service will operate within SCP's sovereign cloud environment to support public sector clients with strict security requirements.
