SC Ventures Becomes First External Shareholder of GSR Following Strategic Investment

GateNews

According to an announcement on Tuesday, SC Ventures, the fintech and investment arm of Standard Chartered, has become the first external strategic shareholder of GSR following a strategic investment in the crypto market maker. The firms declined to disclose the investment size. GSR CEO Xin Song said the partnership combines deep capital markets expertise with trusted banking infrastructure, with tokenization as a key focus. The move deepens a relationship between GSR and SC Ventures that began last month when GSR invested in Libeara, an SC Ventures-backed tokenization platform.
