According to the Tianjin Securities Regulatory Bureau, a securities professional named Chi Wei was penalized on May 24 for unauthorized trading using others' accounts over 19 years, resulting in cumulative losses of 4.76 million yuan. The regulator imposed a fine of 250,000 yuan, determining that Chi Wei's conduct violated securities law provisions prohibiting industry professionals from directly or indirectly holding or trading stocks under assumed or borrowed names. The bureau cited the violation's nature, circumstances, and social harm in issuing the administrative penalty.
