SoBanHang Secures $3.8M Pre-Series A for AI Financial Tools

Vietnamese B2B SaaS firm SoBanHang has secured pre-series A funding to advance its AI-powered financial software for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and expand across Southeast Asia. According to Singapore regulatory filings, the startup has raised US$3.8 million to date, though the company declined to disclose the final round size, stating that fundraising is ongoing.

OSK-SBI Venture Partners, a joint venture between Malaysia’s OSK Group and Japan’s SBI Group, led the round alongside investors Hong Leong Bank, FEBE Ventures, and Antler.

Product Strategy: FinanOne AI Operating System

SoBanHang, whose name means “sales book” in Vietnamese, is developing FinanOne, described by co-founder and CEO Hai Nam Bui as an “AI-native business and finance operating system for SMEs.” The platform automates operational and financial workflows including reconciliation, bookkeeping preparation, invoice matching, and cash flow management.

“The business owner doesn’t need to manually configure all the systems,” Nam explains. “They can use plain language, and the system will generate workflows, reports, and even run processes on their behalf.”

FinanOne began development last year and has since been integrated into seven banks and five e-invoice providers in Vietnam, as well as ecommerce platforms including Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. The company is not building its own foundation AI models but instead focusing on developing application-layer software powered by existing models.

Nam noted that selling “is very difficult for AI to do for small businesses since it requires human interaction,” but “all the other jobs, that is something we can do for them.” SoBanHang plans to roll out AI-native products gradually throughout the year on a “use case by use case” basis, with expense management tools and a commercial virtual card developed with Mastercard expected to launch in June.

Growth Metrics and Market Position

SoBanHang currently serves approximately 800,000 merchants in Vietnam. The company reported revenue growth exceeding 100% year on year in 2025 and achieved break-even status for several months during the period, according to Nam.

“Last year, I think we were lucky because of the macro tailwind [that] … accelerated digital adoption in Vietnam,” Nam said. The company attributes its growth to partnerships with large corporations and financial institutions, including conglomerates such as Viettel and the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group, as well as several banks.

Funding Use and Expansion Plans

SoBanHang will deploy the fresh capital to scale operations in Vietnam, build its AI-native product suite for SMEs, and strengthen internal AI capabilities. The company is also eyeing expansion across Southeast Asia, which Nam indicated could begin next year, though he declined to specify which countries are being targeted.

Regarding profitability, Nam stated that the company believes it can control break-even timing based on growth ambitions: “We can be profitable or unprofitable depending on our growth ambition.”

Following this funding round, SoBanHang is prioritizing growth and aims to reach 1 million customers within the next 12 months.

The startup’s previous capital raise occurred in 2022, when it secured US$2.5 million from investors including Trihill Capital, AlleyCorp, FEBE Ventures, and Class 5 Global.
