Solana Now Supports WXRP, Enabling XRP Holders to Access Solana DeFi

Gate News message, April 20 — Solana announced on April 18 that it has begun supporting WXRP (Wrapped XRP), a bridged token representing XRP with equal value. WXRP is issued by custodian Hex Trust and bridged via LayerZero, a cross-chain protocol.

Each WXRP is backed 1:1 by XRP held in Hex Trust's custody accounts and can be redeemed for native XRP at any time. The wrapped token allows XRP holders to deploy their assets within Solana's decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem without selling their holdings.

WXRP is now available on Solana-based decentralized applications including Titan, Byreal, Phantom, Jupiter, and Meteora.
