According to Yonhapinfomax, on July 28, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung announced plans to jointly develop next-generation civilian aircraft with Brazil during a bilateral business roundtable in São Paulo. The announcement follows South Korea's decision to procure Brazil's C-390 multi-purpose transport aircraft, becoming the first Asian nation to adopt the Embraer aircraft. On the same day, Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) signed a memorandum of understanding with Embraer to expand cooperation in civilian aviation and aerospace sectors, with both companies committing to strategic partnership in next-generation aircraft development and establishing regular consultation mechanisms.
