South Korea Orders Bithumb to Refund 100,000 Won Trading Fees to API Event Customers on June 29

According to South Korea's Consumer Dispute Settlement Commission, on June 29, the commission ruled that cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb must refund trading fees of 100,000 won (approximately $77 USD) to each customer affected by its November 2025 API event.

The commission determined that Bithumb improperly changed event terms after launch, unilaterally excluding certain participants. The total compensation is estimated to reach 3 billion won, affecting approximately 30,000 customers.
