South Korea Raises Small-Offering Limit to 3B Won, Eases VC Fund Regulations on July 21

According to the Financial Services Commission on July 21, South Korea's capital markets law underwent revision to ease financing for small and mid-sized enterprises and venture startups. The small-amount public offering limit increased from 1 billion won to 3 billion won, allowing companies to submit simplified documentation instead of full securities registration statements. Additionally, venture capital fund managers are now classified as professional investors and excluded from investor count calculations, preventing unintended regulatory violations. The revised regulations are set to take effect on July 28.
