Samsung and SK Hynix will commit $585 billion to build new chip fabrication plants in southwestern South Korea and boost semiconductor production in the Seoul capital region.
The government aims to double South Korea's production of dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) within five years and spur commercial deployment of humanoid robots by 2028. Hyundai Motor Company, through its subsidiary Boston Dynamics, plans to mass manufacture humanoid workers for deployment in automotive factories and other workplaces.
