According to MBN report, South Korean retailers are launching aggressive summer sales as consumer spending faces pressure. Korean beef is being sold at 50% discount, while imported beer is offered at 19,000 Korean won for 10 cans. Last month's consumer price index rose to nearly 120, marking a 3.2% increase compared to June 2025. Facing weakened domestic demand due to Middle East tensions and broader inflation pressures, retailers are competing to attract price-conscious shoppers ahead of the summer vacation season.
