South Korean Securities Firms Show 2x Divergence on SK Hynix Targets on July 12

According to News1, on July 12, South Korean securities firms disclosed sharply diverging target prices for SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics, creating confusion among investors. SK Hynix target prices ranged from 1.85 million won (BNK Investment Securities) to 4.2 million won (KB Securities), a difference exceeding 2x. Samsung Electronics targets spanned 360,000 to 600,000 won, with similarly wide gaps. For SK Hynix's 2028 operating profit, BNK projected 52 trillion won versus Samsung Securities' 425 trillion won, a gap of 373 trillion won. The divergence reflects stark disagreements on whether AI infrastructure investments will sustain long-term or decelerate faster than expected.
