South Korean Supreme Court Proposes Crypto Seizure Rules to Take Effect in October

South Korea's Supreme Court has proposed amendments introducing detailed procedures for seizing and liquidating digital assets in civil cases. Under the proposed framework, courts would issue seizure orders to prevent debtors from disposing of crypto holdings, requiring assets to be transferred to court enforcement officers. The Supreme Court said the changes are needed due to rising cryptocurrency cases. Public comments will be accepted until August 11, with revisions expected to take effect in October.
