South Korea's Base Reserves Short by 14.3 Trillion Won on July 16, Overnight Rates at 2.564%

According to Yonhapinfomax, South Korea's Bank of Korea reported on July 16 that overnight call rates stood at 2.564% on the previous trading day (July 15). Base reserve funds faced a shortfall of 14.3 trillion won, with cumulative reserves short by 50.5 trillion won. Overnight call market trading volume reached 15.5 trillion won.

Market participants expect additional inflows from health insurance funds and purchasing demand in the repo market, with dealers anticipated to absorb sell-offs without difficulty throughout the session.
