South Korea's Finance Minister Announces Single-Issue Leveraged ETF Measures to Reduce Market Volatility on July 29

According to Yonhapinfomax, on July 29, South Korea's Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Koo Yoon-chul announced that single-issue leveraged ETFs will be managed with measures aimed at reducing market volatility. Speaking at the National Assembly's Finance and Economy Committee meeting, Koo stated that the government has prepared initial supplementary measures and will further refine them if necessary. He emphasized that the government does not react to short-term stock market movements and continues to study ways to ensure stable market development while reducing volatility.

When asked about implementing a cap on total leveraged ETF issuance, the minister agreed to pursue additional measures addressing this concern.
