South Korea's Individual Stock Leveraged ETFs See 8.8 Trillion Won in Losses Over Nine Trading Days

According to BlockBeats, four individual-stock leveraged ETFs tracking Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, issued by Samsung Global Investments and Samsung Asset Management, accumulated valuation losses of 8.8337 trillion Korean won from July 1 to July 13, according to FnGuide Quantwise and Mirae Asset Securities data released on July 15. Over the same period, the combined assets under management (AUM) of these four ETFs declined 37.7%, falling from 14.3518 trillion won to 8.9389 trillion won. All 14 leveraged ETFs tracking the two companies listed in South Korea saw a 41.4% AUM decline during this period, dropping from 15.9349 trillion won at end-June to 9.3386 trillion won by July 13.
