South Korea's June Employment Rises 63,000 Year-on-Year, Returning to Growth After May Contraction

According to South Korea's National Statistical Office, employment in June increased by 63,000 from a year earlier, returning to growth after a contraction in May. The total employed population reached 29.154 million. However, the employment rate for those aged 15 and above fell to 63.4%, marking the third consecutive monthly decline. Youth employment (ages 15–29) continued its 26-month downward trend, falling to 43.9%.
